Book Making, Illustration, Design, Art and Community Team Building days

Lyndons Arts Trust, are partners with the  London College of Communications Book Art Department, City Banks and Corporate Companies for 2011-12 

Content for Team Building Activity/ and Workshops:-Develop project brief, partnerships  working with children across london to create:- Limited Edition Books, Permenant and Temporary Art Instalations.

 

History of the 'City' through the eyes of Children

Awarded grant from Heritage Lottery creating a program of workshops and arty/historic tours. We will also produce a number of Book Designs with the London College of Communications.

 

'The book of I '

This project has been ongoing for the last 12 months working during the lunchtimes at the 'Lyndons Art Trust Drop in Centre' at Malorees Junior School and witth thechildren of Kilburn Park Junior school. The objective is to produce a limited edition book to describe 'Ourselves', 'The book of I' is a collection of montage portraits exploring cultural identity, there are almost 100 Illustrations produced by the children with artist Kathleen Dutton. This was project was assisted by the individuals of a corporate bank who participated in a team building activity with Lyndons Art Trust.

 

'Face of the City'

Using leaflets from the banks and other corporate material from financial companies, the children of Malorees Junior school facilitated by artist Kathleen Dutton at Lyndons Trusts Drop in Centre, created the large montage titled 'Face of the City'.

 

' Money heads '

Artist Kathleen Dutton developed this project with the children from Kilburn Park Junior School - After School Club. Our objective was to produce a series of posters using the leaflets from banks and other corporate literature so the 'Money Heads' were born.

 

'Our school '

Our objective was to produce a limited edition book for Malorees Junior School. The Objective was to produce a 'snap shot' of our school community. With artist Kathleen Dutton and the children of Malorees Junior School, a series of photomontage Illustrations and typography were created. Artworks assembled as a book. This was project was assisted by the individuals of a corporate bank who participated in a team building activity with Lyndons Art Trust.

Team Building / Workshops

Currently working within schools in Brent to develop Books, Permenant and temporary art instalations. Working in collaboration with the London College of Communications book art department and City Banks and Corporate Companies to link in days with teambuilding days.

  • Design- including retail and brand identity, corporate and information design as a Creative Director for Conran Design Group for 8 years.
  • Bridging arts practice with academic and enterprise projects. My professional work is international and Multi-disciplinary.
  • Developing connections between community arts, corporate social responsibility and higher education.

During the last Eight years I have initiated a number of arts projects within the enterprise structure. In 2003 Received a Millennium Award by RH Tony Blair through Kings Fund for creation of high quality arts projects. Honorary member of CAN (The Community Action Network) and have a bursary supporting development of arts projects within social sector 2003-7
